With all the transition happening (literally week-to-week) during the month of August, we are all dealing with exhaustion. While Collin and I worked out in my parents’ shed, our little Kat did not want to leave our sight. After spending the majority of the day in the Texas heat, we sat to eat our dinner. After a few bites, she started fading. She fought it and kept putting bites of tortilla in her mouth but it did little good for those drooping eyes! She was off to la-la-land for the night.
Then in Dallas, while visiting Collin’s parents, she spent a couple hours in the pool. After a nice bath and a snack of craisins, the same story, the heavy eyes, the nodding head. She grabbed her blanket and lights out…this time on the floor!
The same continues to happen for all our littles. Em and Ben and Joey lasted as long as they could, whether in my arms or in the van, they all found rest in the natural movements of our family day.

We pray for all those who need rest, especially rest in the Lord. That we may all have a restful night of sleep and be rejuvenated to begin our new day ready to serve the Lord.
